In addition to the treadmills, Bowflex is well known for their unique products - Treadclimbers. They belong to the new series of unique treadmills (so called "WalkTC treadmills"), designed by Bowflex engineers. The Bowflex brand is owned by Nautilus Inc., a leader in innovative home fitness equipment. The specificity of the new design is a unique dual treadle system. Unlike an ordinary treadmill, the TreadClimber provides the benefits of three different exercise machines at a same time. The manufacturer claims that you'll burn up to 3½ times the calories as with other machines, by working out with this new technology. Based on their research, participants using the Bowflex TreadClimber modality had an average weight loss in the first 6 weeks of 17.4 lbs. Average fat loss was 18.8 lbs.
