As we said, the F65 is a step above the Sole’s lowest priced treadmill F63. It comes with a bit larger running surface of 22 x 60 inches, powered by a stronger motor (3.25CHP). The Sole f65 comes with a 7.5 inch LCD blue back lit display, easy to read in any lighting. It displays information such as speed, time, distance, incline, calories, pulse and pace. There is also a dot matrix display (eighteen columns of dots that indicate each segment of a workout). It indicates an approximate percent to compare levels of intensity. In operation, the speed/incline dot matrix window will build a profile “picture” as values are changed during a workout. The 1/4 mile track is displayed around the dot matrix window. The Pulse (Heart Rate) Window will display your current heart rate in beats per minute, only if you use both stainless steel sensors on the front cross bar. Or, which is more convenient, if you wear the wireless chest strap transmitter.

The F65 has ten built-in programs: five preset profiles (including: the Hill program which simulates going up and down a hilll; the Fat Burn program designed to maximize the burning of fat; the Cardio program designed to increase your cardiovascular function and endurance; the Strength program which is designed to increase muscular strength in your lower body and the Interval program takes you through high levels of intensity followed by periods of low intensity, which aids in heart rate recovery from intense activities); two user defined programs; two Heart Rate programs; and one Manual program.

For your motivation during running there is an Audio Input Jack on the front of the console and built-in speakers. You may plug an MP3, iPod, CD player, portable radio or even a TV or computer audio signal. There is also a Bluetooth transceiver that allows your treadmill to interact with phones or tablet computers. It is used in conjunction with select Apple and Android devices. Other extras include cooling fans, water bottle holders and a utility tray.
