Merit 725t Plus Treadmill Review

The Merit 725T Plus is a "small" folding treadmill that acommodates users up to 250 lbs. With relatively small running area (18 x 50 inches), it is designed for people up to 5'9". If you are taller than that, the 725t is not so good choice for you. Unlike the cheaper 715t, the Merit 725t Plus features Power Incline - a motorized incline adjustment, ranging from 0 to 10 degrees. Its 2.5 HP motor accelerates a treadbelt up to 10 mph. The treadbelt runs smoother and quieter than an average treadbelt, especially compared to other treadmills in this price point. It features AERO Soft Plus cushioning system, designed to reduce the impact on the user's joints.

The console of the 725T Plus looks like it comes from a more expensive treadmill. It features 2-window LED display which tracks your time, speed, distance, calories burned, incline level, and more. It has also a dot matrix display for intervals and other useful readouts. Easy-to-use heart rate sensors are mounted conveniently on the handlebar in front of you. There is also a reading rack, two bottle holders and plenty of buttons for easy selecting and adjusting. The computer console allows you to choose from 7 workout programs, including weight loss, mountain and hill climbs, cardio and endurance challenges, intervals and manual functions. In conclusion, it's hard for us to recommend this machine when we know that you can buy a much better treadmill if you add a few bucks more - see the Horizon T101. On the other hand, if the 725t has everything you want, there is no need to buy anything else, just go for the Merit 725t Plus and enjoy!
