The TRM 223 belongs to the Precor's Energy treadmill series, though our overall impression is that it is much closer to their Precision series. Apart of a sale price, it shares lots of features with the TRM 425, a model from Precision series (except the 223 is cheaper by about $1,000). It is more like a hybrid that is made up of the TRM 425 and the TRM 211, with which it shares the same platform. With technology adapted from commercial-grade models, it is really great treadmill which will provide a fitness center quality workout in the convenience of your home.

Precor TRM 223 Treadmill Review

The TRM 223 is equipped with a powerful 3.0 HP continuous duty motor. Same as the 211, it has a maximum speed of 12 mph and ability to incline the deck up to 15 degrees. Both models share the same patented Energy Stride shock absorption technology to reduce stress on the joints by giving areas of the deck optimal amounts of underfoot cushioning and rigidity. It has a maintenance-free, multi-ply belt for smooth and quiet operation.

When it comes to the TRM 223 console, it is pretty the same as we found on the more expensive models within the Precor's Precision series. It features a high contrast blue-white LCD with an acrylic overlay, which gives it very attractive appearance. It has tap style keys for Speed and Incline changes. It comes with a built-in device holder that is compatible with volume controls in Android and iOS (iPod/iPhone) devices. Also, the HR monitoring can work with any Polar compatible 5 KHz chest strap transmitter. There are 9 preset workout programs and memory support for 2 users.
