Smooth 5.65 Treadmill Review
Smooth Fitness Review
The Smooth 5.65 is out of manufacture. We recommend you to consider some of the proven, top brands instead, including Horizon Fitness, as well as Bowflex.
Although the Smooth 5.65 was the cheapest, starter model in the Smooth's Folding treadmill series, it was an excellent, feature-rich fitness machine. Our first impression on this treadmill was entirely positive. This is a high quality product covered by a lifetime warranty on motor and frame, and 5 years on all parts. Moreover, 2 years of in-home service is included. This impressive warranty is the best warranty you'll get at its price point. It directly competes with the Sole F63, the Horizon T303 and new ProForm 995i. Here is a brief review on Smooth 5.65 treadmill, so you can compare it to the others and figure out which of these treadmills would be the best choice for your own preferences. The 5.65 belongs to the Smooth's series of compact treadmills with equipped with SmoothDrop folding frame. The system doesn't require hoisting and heaving to fold, just gently tilt the treadmill deck. It has a dual-stage gas shock system that slowly lowers the deck. When is folded you can wheel it away for easy storage. Its 20 x 55 inches running deck is equipped with a shock absorption cushioning system that reduces harmful impact on the joints and back. I know from personal experience that 55 inches do not provide enough room for tall people, who have longer strides while running (60 inches would be OK). The treadmill is equipped with a 2.75 HP motor that has enough power to support users up to 300 pounds and still operates noise-free. It is engineered in such a way as motors typically found on commercial treadmills, with an advanced PWM circuit board. The console's computer display combines 3 window LED with LCD Dot Matrix display. It tracks your time, speed, distance, heart rate, calories burned and incline level. It comes with 14 programs including 12 speed/incline programs, 1 body fat program and 1 manual program. The console features an auxiliary input jack for MP3 player, iPod, or other audio devices. It is integrated with a built-in sound system. There is also built-in cooling fan, but to be honest these features have become standard on most new releases of treadmills. In addition to the two bottle holders, the console has an integrated reading rack (perfect holder for books, a cell phone or audio devices). My humble opinion: There are hunderds of reviews available on the web today. You don't need to do lots of research to figure out that there are no owners that have bad experience with the 5.65. It is a great machine designed in the Smooth's recognizable manner of producing, with a quality that we are used to get from a company like SmoothFitness.
Where to buy Smooth Fitness treadmills on sale?
Judging by product features, reviews and opinions, the new Smooth Fitness is not at the same, high-grade level, compared to the old models. We suggest you to consider some of the proven-quality brands, instead. We recommend you to check out Horizon Fitness, as well as Bowflex. However, if you want to give Smooth Fitness a try, it would be better to go with the older models. Some of them are still availabe on Amazon.
