It seems like Yowza has gone out of business. That means you will be left without any support. Instead, we suggest you to consider Sole Fitness
Yowza Smyrna Review
A Running Treadmill
The Yowza Smyrna is an old model. In 2015, it has been replaced with the improved Yowza Daytona.
The Smyrna is a slightly smaller and less expensive model (certainly not cheap) than the other one (the Daytona) in the line of Yowza running tradmills, designed for heavy use. As they say, it is a "Gym quality non-folding workhorse". It comes with the best in-class warranty.
When in use, it looks like a more robust model Daytona. Moreover, the Smyrna is also equipped with the most powerful motor ever built in Yowza treadmills, a 3.0 HP Continuous Duty motor. It seems that the experts in Yowza do believe that there is no need to install a stronger engine than this one. The engineers from Sole, Xterra or NordicTrack don't think so. However, this motor is backed by a lifetime warranty - which is a great indicator of its quality. Our opinion is the same as Yowza's. This is a perfect motor for even the most demanding runners.
To the great delight of all of serious runners who trained at very high volumes, the Smyrna features a patented shock absorption system. Its running deck also features a 1" triple - laminated phenolic wax-impregnated platform. A tread belt is composed of multi-layer PVC with nylon-polyester whisper weave bottom.
The treadmill computer console features 9 individual user memory slots. It is a perfect choice if your machine will be used by multiple users or familly members. It comes with a large easy to read LED display that provides all the tools you need to combine fitness and entertainment. Standard equipment includes an iPod/MP3 dock integrated with speakers, heart-rate control with hand grip sensors and a wireless chest strap, a 3-speed cooling fan and 2 bottle holders.
As mentioned above, the Smyrna belongs to the group of commercial-grade, non-folding treadmills designed for home use. It offers everything any runner could ever want. However, I wish to draw your attention to another model coming from Yowza Fitness, similar in price and features - the Sebring. I believe you'll get a better value for a lower price. It has a folding frame and the new Yowza's Intelligent Workout Management feature.
Where to Buy Yowza treadmills on sale?
The Yowza's sales model is a simple one. They only sell direct and at discount pricing so you will never have to deal with a retailer who is marking-up the products. You will always receive the best price when ordering directly through this link (a discount coupon is embedded). Other retailers may have a lower list price but will not include promotional items like free assembly (a $299 value). Or they will add shipping and/or taxes. Anyway, you can save 45-60% off of comparable retail items.
